African, Coloured groups lagging behind at top management levels

JOHANNESBURG – The White and Indian groups remain over-represented in the workplace.

That’s one of the findings in the latest annual report by the Commission for Employment Equity.

The report says despite efforts to transform the labour market, there’s a persistent preference in the appointment and promotion of these groups.

It says African and Coloured groups are still lagging behind at top management levels.

White South Africans occupied more than 65-percent of top management.
